From Villa Stauder, visit Rome by train, from the nearby station or from the Metro station

The best way to visit Rome is by car driving to the nearby train station of Campoleone (7 km from Villa Stauder, about 10 minutes by car). Just before you reach Campoleone train station, you will come to a large roundabout from which various roads branch off. Just around this roundabout is the Tabaccheria (marked with a big T) where you can buy parking tickets for the Campoleone train station car park. Here you can also buy train tickets to Rome and back (note opening times). Here is the address: Tabaccheria Di Stefano, Via Nettunense 3, Campoleone. Telephone +39 06 92 78 541. The parking ticket, valid for a whole day, costs EUR 3.50 (as of 2022). Train tickets, but not parking tickets, to Rome can alternatively be bought at the train station itself from the machines. To get to the large car park at Campoleone train station you have to go over a bridge that crosses the train tracks. After you have parked the car, an underpass will take you to the train tracks. For train times (from Campoleone to Rome usually every half an hour) you can find information on: www.trenitalia.it

You can also reach the center of Rome from Villa Stauder by metro. In about 20 minutes by car you can first reach the ring road around Rome and then the metro terminus Anagnina, on the outskirts of Rome, right by the ring road. There is a large car park here (there are also covered spaces) and the metro trains to Roma Termini station, Piazza di Spagna and the Vatican run every few minutes.
