Colosseum & Aventine Hill
The Colosseum (Colosseo) is the most famous building of the Roman Empire. The amusement park opened in 80 AD with a hundred-day festival and could accommodate 50,000 people. The Aventine Hill (Aventino) is a very interesting stop on a beautiful walk that begins at the Circo Massimo (metro) and ends at Campo de Fiori, in the heart of Rome. Along the way, you'll visit the Rose Garden, then the churches of Santa Sabina and Santi Bonifacio e Alessio, and then the Giardino degli Aranci park with its beautiful views of Rome.
